Qingdao, previously transliterated as Tsingtao, is a prefecture-level city in China's Shandong province. Lying across the Shandong Peninsula and looking out to the Yellow Sea, it is a major seaport, naval base, and commercial and financial center, as well as a key nodal city of the Belt and Road Initiative.
